Share Your Fasting Story

Are you ready to be inspired by the fasting stories of others? Would you consider sharing your own fasting story?

None of us have fully arrived on this journey, but we don’t have to wait to be an “expert” to share our experiences. Hebrews 3:13 exhorts us to, “encourage one another every day, as long as it is still called ‘today’”.

Consider sharing your fasting experience to encourage someone else.

  • Have you ever set out to fast and fallen short of your goal?

  • Was fasting more challenging than you anticipated?

  • Do you struggle to find the motivation to fast?

I know I’ve been there!

Sharing our testimonies is a powerful practice. Remember that recounting your struggles, challenges, and shortfalls can often be more inspiring than broadcasting your successes.

We feature fasting stories on the Blog, email newsletters, and on social media, and you are invited to participate. Read some fasting stories.

Reading about the fasting experiences of others helps us in so many ways. Some of the things we can glean from these stories include:

  • Why fasting matters

  • Real life struggles

  • Challenges overcome

  • Insights and revelations

  • Helpful advice for those new to fasting

  • Encouragement

Share Your Fasting Story

You may have done a Daniel Fast, liquid fast, or complete fast. It could have been forty days or one day. Whatever the case, we can lean on some scriptural truths:

“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” (Rev 12:11)

“And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.” (2 Cor 12:9)

“Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead” (Phi 3:13)

How Does This Work?

About Your Story

  • The Share Your Story form will ask if you’d like to be referenced by your first and last name, initials, or anonymous.

  • If your fasting story is shared, you’ll have the opportunity to link to your social media profiles or website.

  • Fasting stories do not have to be about the Daniel Fast or utilizing the Daniel Fast Journey resources, but should relate to Christian fasting as a spiritual practice (not solely fasting for weight loss or diet).

About the Process

  • Due to volume, not all stories will be able to be published or shared in full.

  • If your story is going to be shared via Daniel Fast Journey Blog, email, or @fitnowstephanie social media, you’ll be notified within 30 days of submitting your form and given the publication date in advance.

  • We reserve the right to edit for grammar or length without altering the original message or intention of the story.

  • Stories may be submitted via the Share Your Story form below:
